About Air & Barrel

Air & Barrel is a small independent reference site about hair dryers and hot air stylers. It is organized by the job a tool does and by hair type, and each page tries to answer one question fully, with the direct answer first.

Where the numbers come from

Watts, weight, heat and speed settings and attachments come from the makers' own spec sheets and Amazon listings. Heat and technique advice is common stylist and manufacturer guidance, shown as typical ranges rather than rules. Where sources disagree we give a range instead of a single figure, and we say so. Your tool's manual always wins where it differs from a general rule.

How gear is chosen

We do not run a test bench and we do not claim hands-on testing. Buying guides compare products by what their Amazon listings state. How we pick gear explains the method and its limits.

How the site is paid for
